Veterans' Tournament Over thirty entries have been received for the veterans' tournament, a fixture that is becoming increasingly popular. A past winner, the popular "Jacky" Hughes, will be among the contestants and others who, though old in years are still wise in golf, have sent in their names. Played on handicap every entrant has a good sporting chance. Ladies' Championship Again Miss Snodgrass has her name enrolled on the honours board of the club champions by defeating Mrs. La Trobe Hill one up. The winner, who entered the finals by defeating Mrs. Butler on the nineteenth in the semifinal, had to play every hole all the way to win. At no time did the difference exceed one. Mrs. Hill stuck to her opponent with invincible pluck and tenacity, only losing by the putt on the eighteenth. It was one of the best contested matches seen in Rotorua championships.
