-By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. August 6, 6.30 p.m. Dublin, August 5. The .police headquarters .this afternoon dispatched instructions to outlying stations to have men available at the shortest possible notice. Guards from over 30 stations are ordered to report at Dublin. A later message states that 300 men have been already collected as reserve of "members of an armed force," to guard the . Government buiidings. Most have Ixeen members, of the Irish Republican Army. Mr. Craynor, an old I.R.A. officer, is forming the guard., j A London message states that General O'Duffy.told the Nationai Guard at Coonemell that the new speeial police were tantamount to an Irish Ogpu. The Government, acting up(on false jnformation, was making itself ridiculpus in the eyes of Irish peoplje both at home and abroad., It was apparently preparing a campaigh of suppression which would become operative immediately the Dail adjourned. The National Guard was not subsidised by Britain ; it was penniless but was appealing to the count-ry for funds.
