Rec. August 6, 6.30 p.m. Washington, August 5. Administration officials announce that a truce has been reaehed in.the bitumen coal-miners strike, and that the men will return. to work. They J were granted minor demands but will i not have the right to form a union pe-nding the formulation of a code for the coal industry. The President,. Mr. Roasevelt, also announced that he had appointed a commission to arbitrate in all industrial labour disputes calculated to interfere with the- success of the recovery programme.
