SCIENCE ATTACKS COLDS

New Discovery that Kills Germs It is now known that the " common cold " — like its big brothers, Influenza and Catarrh — ia caused by germs. You come into contact with a sufferor — germs enter your system tbrough tbe breathing passages — the warm, moist eonditions of the nose, throat and lungs provide ideal breeding grounds — the germs multiply rapidly — and yon have " canght a cold." Obviously, then, the way to cure a cold is to kill the germs that cause the cold. Those are the lines along which chemists have been working for many years past. They have been striving to evolve an inhalant that is sufficiently powerful to destroy the germs and yet can be nsed with safety by adults or children. At lasfc they have been successful. They have produced Karsote Inhalant. The actual germ-killing effect of Karsote on cold, influenza, and Catarrh-causing germs is shown in magnifled diaeram below.

!•— Germs at commencement of attack. Fig. 2. — Showing large increase in mimlipr of germs affcer 24 hours. Fig. 3.— Less than io mmutes' exposure to Karsote vapour has entrrely Mlled the germs. All that one has to do to nse Karsote is to shake a few drops on to a handkerchief, and mhale the powerful germ-killing vapours. So the Karsote Inhalant treatment has the advantage that it may be used anywhere and at any time of the day — or during the night, since it can be sprinkled on the pillow and inhaled in the sleep. Karso'te is now obtainable of most cbemista ftnd stores, at 1/G and 273 per bottle.
