NEEDLE IN BACK

A PAINFUL ACCIDENT Auckland, Friday. An accident resulting in a needle piercing the baclc of a girl, Eva Satchwell, occurred at the child's home to-day. The needle had heen left threaded and sticking in the wall-paper. It entered the girl's back when she leaned against the wall and was completely buried in the flesh, only a portion of the thread protruding to show where it had entered'. The child was taken to hospital and after an X-ray examination to locate the needle, it was removed. She afterwards returned home.
