AMUSING STORY

"LET ME EXPLAIN, DEAR," A HILARIOUS COMEDY. \ COMMENCING MONDAY. MAJIESTIC. If you have ever tried to explain away a "night-out" to an intracable wife you'll know how George felt when a beautiful blonde vamp, and a £1000. necklace were added to the list of things needing explanations. Retuming in the early hours, George encounters an irate Angela to whom he explains he spent the night with Cyril Merryweather, a sculptor and next-door neighbour, but the necklace which he h'ad pocketed for safety the night before is not so easily explained. He presents it to his wife, but on the arrival of the vamp, whom he introduces as Merryvveather's "wife," he learns the necklace is the property of a Rajah' and had only

been lent her by the boy friena. The hilarious eiforts of George to . get back the necklace from his wife without giving the game away provide endless amusement and the complications which set in thick and fast add considerably to the laughter propensities with which "Let Me Explain, Dear," abounds. Gene Garrard, the brilliant and versatile star-director of "Let Me Explain, Dear," which will be showing at the Majestic Theatre next Monday, heads an outstanding cast which includes the inimitable Claude Hulbert, as Cyril the Sculptor; Jane Carr, a lissom and charming vamp "find"; Viola Lyel, as "the wife," and Army Veness, the "batfle-cruiser" of "My Wife's Flamily' fame, as a maiden aunt.
