One day a Widnes woman withdrew four £100 notes from her banlt and hid them in 'a bolster slip. Later she sent the bolster slip to the laundry, forgetting the notes were there, and she was j astonished afterward when the works I manager of the laundry called and | showed her four well-soaked £100 notes and asked her if they were hers. A girl at the laundry noticed something discoloured while wash'ng the bolster, and upon closer exanination found the notes. The index marks on the bolster led,to the notes being traced to the owner.
