Tha.t amazing situation forms the story of "70,000 Witnesses," a film which opens at the Grand Theatfe on Saturday,- with Phillips Holmes, Dorothy Jordan, Charlie Ruggles and Johnny Mack Brown in the leading roles. The second feature is "The Vailishing Frontier," starring Johnny Mack Brown, and featuring Eyaljrn Knapp, Zasft Pitts, Raymond Hatton and J. Farrell MacDonald. The story is set in the period immediaiely following California's annexation to the United States, but before the territorial goYernment has been set up. Under command of an ujnimaginative officer, the United States cavalry enforces martial law.
