THE LATEST IN MILKING SHEDS ON MR. SMYTH'S FARM A very fine example of a modern milking shed is to he found on Mr. J. Smyth's farm at Ngongotaha. It is equipped with a four-co_w plant suited for the handling of about 80 cows. The shed is built high, giving plenty of light and air space, while the overhang of the roof provides a maximum of shelter for both cows and milkers. The machine emhodies all the latest improvements in ease of cleasing and the absence of shafting and pulleys. The plant and shed are eleetrically driven and Lighted and. spacious eoncrete yards and floors enable absolute cleanliness to be maintained. A plentiful supply of fresh water is pumped direct by a coupled shafting from the motor, which proves a very excellent arrangement.
