RESERVED DECISIONS
APPLICATION OF GOODSONS LTD AND W. BEAUMONT FOR GOODS LICENSES The decisions of the Central (Transport) Licensing Authority in connection with goods service applications from Goodsons' Ltd., and W. Beaumont, heard on Monday afternoon, were announced at the sitting of the authority yesterday morning. Dealing with the application of Goodsons' Ltd., the chairman, Sir Stephen Allen, said that considerable difficulty had been experienced in arriving at a decision on account of the lack of evidence of the past running of the company's trucks. However, it had been decided to grant a license over the district applied for with the exce.ption of Paeroa. Te Kuiti and Te Awamutu areas had been withdrawn by the applicant. A route license. would also be granted to Auckland with the provision that the number of trips was not to exceed one a month. In the case of Beaumont an area license was granted over Taupo, Tauranga, Whakatane and Rotorua as applied for and a route license to Matamata with a restrietion of a five mile radius. The number of vehicles licensed was limited to two.
