Auckland, Tuesday. A case of leprosy has been reported from the neighbourhood of Huntly. The. patient is a Hittdoo storekeeper aged 45 who has been in New Zealand for a number of years. He was immediately renaoved to Hamilton, where he was admitted to hospital and placed in isolation. The disease is not in an advanced stage. The case has been reported to the Health Department which is making arrangements for the patient ' to be sent to tke leper station at Magogai Island. A Health t)epartment offlcial said to-day that leprosy tvds very rare in New JZealand.tW.hen it did pccur, it riedxdy always coiifled td Madris.
