Registry offices in *maUy cities are beseiged by crowds of young couples desiring to marry and take advantage of the loan scheme which has just come into force. • • Couples are entitled to borrow 300-1000 marks in certificates which are exchangeable. for furniture and household utensils. The loans are repayable at one per cent. monthly but a.quarter of the total loan is xemitted for each -child born in the next eight years. . . . .This is part of Herr Hitler's scheme for "restoring women to their rightful task of bearing children."
