The GovArnment meteoroloplst isaued the following weather report and forecast feet nig-ht: — General Situation: The cyclone responsible for the . recent .unsettled weather conditions, is moving off New Zealand gradually. An intense a'nticyclone cover south-east Australia and is extending toward the south of New Zealand. Winds: Moderate to strong southwesterlies prevailing from Auckland northwards. Elsewhere jsouth to south easierly. - ( Forecast: Cloudy to overcast with further showers and misty rain in most districts and more especiaiiy in the eastern districts south of East Cape. Improving gradually in the southern and western districts. Temperatures cold, Following are the barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall rsa'dings recorded at the Goverriment Observation Sta* tion.by the Rotorua Tourist .Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.848ins. Thermometer (max.) 54.2deg. Thermometer (min.) 46.4deg. Thermometer (min on grass) 47.8deg. Rainfall 0.49ins. Bright Sunshine Nil
