London, July 14. At the wool saies 9707 bales were offered, including 4814 -of New Zealand; about 4796 bales were sold. Competition was well sustained, for , all the finer qualities and prices were fairly steady. Withdrawals in the lower grades were more numerous, greasy erossbreds and crossbred slipes . being fully 5 per cent. below the opening rates. New Zealand clips scoured merinos, "Ferintosh," top price, 24d, average 23 «d; halfbred lamb slipes, 16d and 13id.
