A slight westerly depressiog is passing over Tasmania while pressure is cjenerally high over the greater part oft Australia. . Winds: Northerly, north of Cape Egmont and Castleppint backing to south-westerly elsewhere. Southerlies moderate to. stroug generally but reaching gale force in exposed places. Forecast: Unsettled, dull and misty with further rain in most districts. Heavy falls in places in the North Island and snow on the ranges, Cool Temperatures. Following are the baromettfrr maxlimum and minimum thermonietsr, sunshine, and rainfall rea'dings recorded at the Governrnent Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. y'esterday.
