When nominations closed for the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt 1 Club's first steeplechase meeting last evening, the Master, Dr. H. Bertram and the seeretary, Mr. E. La Trobe I Hill, expressed themselves as well sat'isfied with both the numbers and the class entered. Good support has been received • from. the Bay as well as local horses and there are some exceedingly in"teresting names figuring in the lists. . Quality is present as well as quantity and in the races in which ownertrainers are catered for, the response 'has been eneouraging.
