Wellington, Friday. Applieations for permits. for extra or special racing days have heen reaching the Government in considerahle number s, from both racing and trotting cluhs all over New Zealand. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Hon. J. A. Young, said to-night that the Government had no objeetion to racing or trotting cluhs re-arrahging or adjusting the statutory number of days allotted to them hut that grant.s of extra or special days in additipn to the statutory number allotted. would not he entertained.
