EVIDENCE OF WORRY REGARDING A WOMAN.

Auckland, Tuesday An inquest was opened to-day on ( James Taylor Robertson, aged 40 I years, single, who was found hangirig from a tree in a seddon next his ■ parents' home. ■ Deceased's father said his. son was employed as a railway engine-driver at Greymouth. He came home on ! Juno 29. He seemed worried and said | a woman in Greymouth was infatu- ' ated with him and wanted to marry j him. He did not wish to marry her, but could not "throw her off" because of insufficient will-power. He brooded, and then became hysterical,. and a doctor was called in. Yesterday . afternoon he received a telegram from the woman, and afterwards brightened up. Witness, at his son's request, left the house. to send a reply to the telegram. That was the last time witness saw his son alive. The inquest was adjourned.
