Sydney, July 4 The. Telegraph says that in Deeember two plarie's.will fly ;abreast" across - the Tasman Sea from Sydney to New Zealand. One will be an Australian desigried maehine built ,at Cockatoo dock for Sir Charles Kingsford Smith; the other will.be the Southern Cross. Sir Charles intends to use'the new plane. as the basis for his terider for the Singapore-Australia section of the air mail contract. S'ir Charles stated: "I believe that what such companies as Imperial Airways have to offer in mail planes and service, is wrong; so I have decided to back up what I believe with hardearned cash. "The new maehine will be twoerigined, dual coritrolled, on Fokker lines. "On the flight to New Zealand a pilot will be selected to fly the new plane; and I will fly alongside in the Southern Cross. "Mr. Stannage is already working on a radio equipment to keep both planes in constant touch."
