UNFAIR COMPETITION. London, July 3 In the House of Commons Mr. G. Lambert (National Liberal — South Mollow, Devon), asked would Mr. J. H. Thomas, Secretary of State for the Dominions, represent to the Commonwealth Government that the export bounty of 3d per lb on butter, plus lSd per lb due to depreciated currency, constituted unfair competition with the British producers. Mr. Thomas replied that the discussions with the Dominions' reprepentatives regarding the marketing of dairy products were being eontinued, but he could not make a statement at present. Mr. Lambert: Will you point out that the Australian bounties constitute an unfair competition? Mr. Thomas: I think they do.
