THE "DEBS" BALL

Augus't 2nd, the date of the Catholic "deb" ball, promises to be a migevent in the social world of Rotorua and its district. Already committees are working energetically on preliminary preparations and arrangements on a scale previously unattempted in Rotorua are in train. Several local shops have brOadcast the Coming event with a dazzling white array of oharming "coming out" gowns that anakes those of us who have already made our oificial bow into the social world long to be a "deb" , once more. Bridge parties and other social en- j gagements are being arranged by : Catholic communities throughout the : district in order to lighten the financial responsibility of the function. This first debuntante ball promises to be a distinct social occasion and one long to be remembered among the young "buds" of Rotorua.
