THE LORD'S PRAYER luthers wording changed into modern speech - ^EVOLUTION IN SERVICES

The British United Press Konigs,berg correspondent says that for the first time in centuries the Lord's .Prayer has been changed from the phrasing adopted by Martin Luther. The change is due to Pastor Muller, Herr Hitler's adviser in chnrch matters. At Schloss Kirchen, Konigsberg Pastor Muller paraphrased the prayer and the final blessing into everyday speech. The whole. service suggested that the rites of the chureh will shortly be completely revolutionised in conformity with the ideas of the Nazis. The new sermons will be under an hour in length. Pastor Muller's sermon lasted only 15 minutes. The hymns were accompanied by the bras? 1 band of the Nazi storm troops. |
