General. — The crop of turnips onfl the agricultural plots has been sold. fl and delivery is being taken at present' fl •Considerable work in the way of top jfl dressing has been carried out on tle:^| tennis courts, while the orchard p!el:fl is now ready for planting. Parents' Association The Parents' Association is now regularly constituted body, and it hflfl of inter est to the board to knowthat^fl the association has pledged itselfto'^fl . do all in its power to further the pro;^fl vision of an assembly hall for the'^fl /School. The next meeting of thor^fl sociation will be held in the schoof^fl to-mor'row (Tuesday) at 7.30 p.m. ^fl I have again to remark on the io-j^fl terest which the Rotary Club con-^fl tinues to take in the school. On day, June 5, the boy prefects were^H entertained by the club at luncii,^fl while to-day a number of the sei-flfl ior boys were present at the fatfaerj^flp and son luneheon. Insurance Scheme Efforts have heen made to estab^H; lish an insurance scheme in connec^B tion with accidents and injuries ' curring during supervised games^B The response, however, has been inf^B sufficient to warrant proceeding ther with the matter. Possibly 1 board could consider the question i^Bo1 a subsidy in the matter. Discussing the insurance scheffi^^pVo 'Ihe headmaster detailed its purpo^^Bty and the cost of a scheme which had inquired into. Although he not been able to secure sufficiei^^B A pupils to commence the scheme ^^Ran| suggested that perhaps next year ther consideration might be given t^^Bnta matter. The chairman considered c fhere was little necessity for a coij^Bynd prehensive scheme at the present Tv as during the past few years fewj^^Bpst cidents of a serious nature had |^^R0gni curred at the school. Board's Appreciation Speaking of the Parents' Assor^^Britis tion, Mrs. Davidson said that £ would like to place on xecord j^^PMon board's appreciation of the great f^^R-day and effort given to its formationj^MAt i the headmaster and the staff. association was a most necessary ^^Bessar and one which would prove of benefit to the school.
