ROTORUA QOUNTY (ROUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE RATES' 1933-1934 ' t Notice is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council in pursuance of Section 120 and 121 of "The Counties Act, 1920," Section 51 and 54 of "The Rating Act, 1925," and "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926," and all amendments and powers enabling it in that behalf intends at its next Ordinary Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, Ranolf Street, Rotorua, on Wednesday, the 12th day of July, 1933, to make and levy tho following rates: — NORTH RIDING A General Rate of one and oneeighth of a penny (1 l-8d) in the pound (£) on the Capital Value- of all rateable property in the Riding. SOUTH RIDING A General Rate of one and oneeighth of a penny (1 l-8d) in the Pound (£) on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Riding. Such General Rates to include (1) Hospital Levy Rate; (2) Antecedent Liability Loan Interest Rate. WATER RATES (Ngongotaha Water S-upply) A Consumers' Rate for Ordinary Supply upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, the annual value of which lands and buildings as appearing in the Valuation Roll does not exceed £12/10/a rate of 10/- and exceeding £12/10/- then a rate of 5 per centum on such annual value. A Non-Consumers' Rate upon all rateable properties to which water can be but is not supplied situate within 100 yards from any part of the Waterworks, a rate of one-half of the rates abovementioned. Extraordinary Supply to be charged. by agreement in accordanee with the provisions of the Waterworks By-laws. SPECIAL RATES The Special Rates struck and recurrent tov provide Interest and Sinking Fund Loans rernain as struck, but .only an amount sufficient to meet requirements will be collected. ' •= . b* A REBAT.E of 5 per cent.'in terms of Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1925, will be allowed upon the above Rates, with the exception of Water Rates, provided the same are paid within 30 days of the due date thereof. ALL such rates to be for the year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1933, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1934, and to be due and payable in one instalment on the 25th day of September, 1933, to the County Clerk and Collector at the County Office, Ranolf Street, Rotorua.
