FIRES' ON INTRUDERS Ree. June 22, 8.15 p.m. Berlin, June 22. Resisting an intended Nazi search of his house, a Socialist leader named Schmaus, barricaded his premises and fired at storm troopers as they approached. One trooper and one civilian were killed and two troopers wounded. Later regular police stormed the house and arrested Schmaus.
