THEFT ADMITTED
YOUNG MAN ADMITTED TO PROBATIONARY TERM — -. \ Auckland, Wednes. James Ernest Greenslade (22), a clerk, to-day admitted stealing sums totalling £110 from the Henderson Town Board, hy whom he was employed, in eollecting rates on 5 percent commission. It was stated that restitution of £60 had been made, and the halance would be. paid. Accused had tried to make up the money he stole by betting at races but he always -lost. The Magistrate placed accused on strict probation for three years.
