TRAYELLER AND HIS CLOTHES. Delegates to the recent Commercial Travellers' Conference at Exter (iEngland), lived up to their reputation ia.s. tellers of entertaining stories — 'and the funniest of all was a true one. It concerned a delegate who, how it is not explained, arrived with the wrotHg suit-case at the Imperilal Hotel, where many other delegates also stayed. Unaware of the change, he went u(p to his room to dress for dinner. To his horror and 'amazement he found not a single masculine garment, hut instead a large number of flimsy things, principally of .silk and lace. A closer examination of the suit-case revealed that, though very much like his own, it was not quite the same. ■Other dedegates, however, fitted hiim up with what they could spare for the conference functio'ns. To his great relief a note arrived at the hotel the next day from a young woman say)ing> |sb(e (would. be }very ■much obldged if h'e would return her suit-case, which "he had taken hy mistake inthe train." . .
The wilderness beyond the throng for me! Within the shadow of a mighty tree, A dish of figs, this bowl of crimson wine, With Thee beside shall malce a feast divine. And as the sunset fades — one radiant star! To sanctify the spreading sands afar — Chill winds niay waft,- but comfort we'll assure With precious Woods' Great Peppermint Cure. ^
