BLACKBURN CUP MATCH WITH GISBORNE CLUB
The teams to represent the Gisborne and Rotorua Ch'ess Clubs in a Blackburn Cup match to he played on Saturday have now heen finalised and are as fOllowis. Gisborne players heing mentioned first: — Board 1. — Schlichling v. Andrews. 2. — Seddon v. Fraer. 3. — Thompson v. Burton. 4. — Ritchie v. Kurney. ^ 5.- — Weatherly v. Saxby. 6. — Venning v. P,a.ter,son. 7. — Gleave v. Roland. 8. — Whitehead v. Tibbetts. 9. — Blackburn v. Booth. 10. — Fischhach v. Vinall. 11. — Meredith v. Howe. 12. — McMahon v. Watson. 13. — Hignedd v. Jackson. 14. — Robinson v. Heywood. 15. — Lawn v. Lenihan. The first 12 boards only count for the cup which has been held hy thie Gisborne Club for a number of years. Should the local club be successful in winning the cup it will be another feaither in Rotorua'® cap.
