CROQUET CLUB
ANNUAL MEE.TING OF ROTORUA BODY HEL-D. The 26th annual meeting of the Rotorua Croquet Club took place at , the club pavilion in tha Government Gardens last Tuesday afternoon, there heing only a fair attendance of members present. Apolog'ies were received from Mrs. Hesketh, Mrs. E. La Trobe H 31 and Mrs. A. Manson. The electio'n of officers resulted. — iPatroness, Mrs. T. Jackson; president, Mrs. B. M. Green, yice-presidents, Mrs. J. Banks and Mrs. J. Halkett; secretary and treasurer, Miss- G. Rakes; committee, Mrs. J. R. Blencowe; Mrs. W. L. Richards, Mrs. 0. R. Lloyd, Mrs. W. T. Pakes, Mrs. C, H. C. Worthington and Mrs. D. Herd.4 Ori assuming the presidential chair, Mrs B. M. Green thanked the members for the honour they had conferred upon her and expressed the hopie that the forthcoming iseason would prove successful in every way. A letter was read advising the Rotorua Croquet Club tha.t the North Island, croquet tournament would again be he'ld in Rotorua next year, the date having been decided upon as January 4, 1934. Notice was given that two trophies, one for each section, A and B, had been donated by the president for th'e coming season, the prize being' given for the most points gaiined during the playing year. The imeeting closed iwith a vote of thanks to the chair. Those preserut were: Mesdames B. M. Green, W. T. Pakes, C. R. Lloyd, D. M. Ford, T. Parata, J. Banks, J. Halkett, W. W. P. Hall, D. Herd, W. L. Richards, C. H. C. Worthington, J. Iiinton and Miss G. Pakes.
