DEAD BABY FOUND

MAORI MOTHER CHARGED WITH MURDER OF INFANT New Plymouth, Wednesday. A charge of murdering her newlyborn female child a't Inglev/ood on May 16 and disposing of the body on the same date, with intent to conceal birtli, was laid against Bella Thompson, a 20-year-old Maori woman, in the Inglewood Court. According to the evidence of a constable the baby was found buried and wrapped in sacks. Aecused allegedly admitted the birth of the child, after first denying it. She reserved her defence and was committed for trial. The magistrate postponed the decision at the inquest till after the Supreme. Court trial.
