MILITARY SHIELD
A large shield with the crest of the Hauraki Regiment on it, which is being displayed in a shop window in the Strand,' Whakatane, is creating a good deal of interest at present. This is the Hauraki Regimental Efficieney Shield which was won by B Company during the camp at Rotorua last February. B company was comprised of about 20 men from Whakatane under Lieut, N. Corcoran and 20 from Te Puke under Lieut. N. Wilkins on.
