Frantic jealousy had surprising results in Paris. A woman, Madame Marceau had been keeping company with Joseph Chavagne, a hospital orderly. He had been separated from his wife, but had become reconciled. That day he brought Madame Marceau a chicken, which she £|greed to dress for Chavagne and his wife.
