-By Telegrapli — Copyriglit).
i Rec. June 8, 5.5 p.m. London, June 7 The Daily Telegraph says that the dollar exch'ange reached 4.07 on Wednesllay. The dollar has neyer been ; worth so little in London since Great j Britain left the gold standard. Wedj nesday's rate represents a fall of 60 | cents since America abandoned gold. I The latest decline is attributed to | speculative selling, particularly from j New York. There is also an impresi sion in the market that official operaj tions in America are forcing sterling j rate up. ! The Daily Express city editor says i that it is not improbable that if the i dollar depreciates further, Switzer1 land will abandon the gold standard next week and France will follow. ■
