Hamilton, Frid.iy. New Zealand Loan and Meroan.ile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follc ws on their offering of Mr. G. D. Ha.l's pedigree Shorthorn cattle ex Kio Kio, submitted to a large bench' of buyers from all parts of New Zefiand, at their first annual Shorthorn sale at the Claudelands showgrounas yesterday. — In all there were about 15 bulls and the same number of heifers. Although the vendor met the market for bulls, for the majority of his offering values were not exceptional, due to the existing economic conditions. The progressive annual improvement of Mr. Hall's heifers commanded mueh interest, and was the reason fC.' such a good sale for these event-Lating. They were distributed in North Auckland, Hawkes Bay and the South Island. The line of heifers averageJ in the vicinity of 13 guineas. Quotations are: — N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., as agent for South Island buyers: "Pinedale Violet 2nd" 16gns; "Pinedale Marigold" 175gns. "Pinedale Queen" to Mr.' W. II. Kelland, of Waipipi, 18gr.s.; "Pinedale Budie 4th" to Mr. J. McGowan, Waiuku, 145gns.; "Pinedale Vei-bina" to Mr. C. M. Anderson, Te Rore, 15gns. The bulls made up to 18gns.
