Ngongotaha School Committee The annual householders' .meeting to elect a school committee was held at Ngongotaha on Monday last. Owing to the weather conditions the attendance was small. A full report of the year's work was presented by the headmaster, Mr. A. H. Foggin. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: — Chairman, Mr. A. L. Keith; secretary, Mr. P. K. Cronin; ( committee, Messrs. J, L. Catley, W. Stembridge, W.l J. Batchelar, J. J. Smyth, W. McPherson.

Golf Competitions Abandoned » The state of the course made it impossible for the Motutara Golf Club to commence the mixed foursomes and singles competitions arranged by the club on Saturday last. Although the surface water had dropped. considerably since the previous night miniature lakes which had formed on several of the fairways made them unsuitable for competition play.

New Bowling Green The usual greens having been closed until the next season play has commenced on the winter bowling green laid down in the Government Grounds last spring. The new green has made good growth and is reported to be playing very well. .
