LORD DERBY'S VICTORY A POPULAR WIN

(Rec. June 1.) London, May 31. Tho Royal procession of seven cars headed by the King's car containing Their Majesties and the Duke of Gloucester, being immediately followed by the Duke of York's and the Earl of Harewood's, left the Ralace at noon to join in the mighty trek to Epsom which hegan at dawn. The Prince of Wales and Prince George motored from Sandringham. The roads were crowded with every imaginahle conveyance. The police flying in an autogyro surveyed the traffic and wirelessed directions to the officers helow. The weather was fine and the course firm. The Earl of Derby himself won for the first time since 1924. The success of Hyperion was popular.
