WHAKA PA ROADS
MAYOR CLARIFIES POSITION OF ROADS IN vV;/y PA At last evening's meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council, when dealing with the roads at Whakarewarewa, Cr. L. J. Bayfeild asked if the bridge fell down would the council be responsible for its, replacement. The Mayor (Mr. T. Jackson) replied in the affirmative. Word had been received from the chief surveyor that the roads in the pa were duly dedicated and did not form part of the Maori land.
