PARLIAMENT OPENS
SHORT SESSION LIKELY (Rec. May 27.) Capetown, May 26. Parliament was opened by the Governor-General (Earl of Clarendon ( with the usual f ormalities. The speech indicated a short session to deal with the budget and urgent measures relating to unemployanent and distress due to widespread drought.
