The Government meteorolonlst lisued the following weather report and forecast Jast hifht:— General situatidn: The cyclo'nic depression centred yesterday in the northern Tasman has since deepened and is now crossing the North Island; a similar depression is Iikeiy to foiilow it. Forecast: Winds north-westerly to westerly i'n the far north, elsewhere south -easterly to nprtherly, moderate to strong, raching gale force in places about and north of Cook Strait.
