Canberra, May 26. Mr. J. A. Lyons, Federal Prime Minister in the House of Representatives, outlined the works being commenced shortly by the' Commonwealth and State Governments to relieve unemployment. Th'e States will spend £12,000,000 on reproductive work in-1933-34. The Commonwealth works include the building of a naval sloop and a cordite factory in Victoria. The Sydney Herald says that provision is being made in the Budget for a big building programme for Canberra, with the object of transferring public servants from Melbourne. Money also will be spent ofi the construction and improvement oi aerodromes and strengthening coastal defence.
