WORK DURING YEAR

MR. H. P. FOORD RE-ELECTED AS COUNTY CHAIRMAN FOR YJSAR ANNUAL MEETING OF COUNCIL The annual statutory meeting of the Rotorua County Council was held on Wednesday at noon. There were present Crs. H. P. Ford (in the chair) A. L. Keith, G. J. Ford, R. CopelandSmith and J. J. Smyth The county clerk (Mr. A. Bellingham) and the county engineer (Mr. T. S. Robertson) were also in attend- | ance. The retiring chairman, Mr. Ford, presented his annual report. In moving the adoption of the report, Cr. Keith expressed appreciation of the excellent report submitted ' and of the able manner in which' the chairman had officiated during his past term. A x'esolution, embodying this appreciation, was carried. Cr. Smyth then moved that Mr. jj Ford be re-elected chairman for a further term. This was seconded by Cr. Smith and carried unanimously. On resuming the chair, Mr. Ford thanked the members for their continued confidence in hina. He referred also to the services rendered by Cr. Keith who had been associated with him as a councillor for the past ten years.
