The Daily Express city editor says that ;it ds believed in th'e city that finaneial advisers of the Commonwealth would be acting wisely if they approached bond-holders direct and endeavoured to carry the conversion scheme outside the market. It is wide-r ly thought th'at. an acceptable compromise could be reached if the case were put before the bond holders.
