CHILD POISONED
DRINKS THE CONTENTS OF PARENT'S MEDICINE BOTTLE (Press Assn. — By Telegraph — Copyright). Auckland, Thursdajr. J ohn Raklander, aged two years, who was admitted to the Auckland hospital on Wednesday evening after drinking the contents of a medicine bottle at his parents' h'ome, died this morning. The medicine was prescribed for neuritis and was made by a ehemist for the child's mother. The written instructions on the bottle stated it was to be taken ( diluted in water. The child was playing in the house in the afternoon, and went into a room in which the medicine was kept. Mrs. Raklander entered the room about four o'clock and found the boy lying on the floor in a coma, with th'e empty medicine bottle nearby. The child could not be roused and wa,s taken to hospital.
