Rec. May 26, 9. p.m. London, May 26. The Times Moscow correspondent states that M. Litvinoff is due to arrive hefore the World • Conference commences, for a talk with Sir John Simon, at which h'e hopes to regularise the Anglo-Soviet relations. The Soviet is willing conditionally to release Messrs Thornton and MacDonald, the imprisoned Vickers engineers. The conditions would he the removal .of the embargo on Russian goods. It is believed that Messrs Thornton and MacDonald would be released before M. Litvinoff's arrival ■in London. Great Britain imposed an embargo upon all Russian imports following the conviction and sentenee of imprisonment imposed upon two engineers of the Metropulitan Vickers Company, who were charged with sabotage while engaged on electrical work for the Soviet Government.
