LORD BLEDISLOE SPEAKS FROM ROTORUA TO WORLD
Rec. May 25, 12.30 p.m, ( Sydney, May 24. The Sputhern Seas broadcasting of the Emplre sentiment to-night was ' immensely succ-essfnl in Australia. Speeches by Lord Bledisloe at Rotorua, and by Mr. Flower at Christchurch were heard most clearly, not a word being missed. A Maori haka in the Wellington studio was an unique feature which delighted Australian listeners. Lord Jellicoe's voice was heard with the same clarity as the New Zealanders. The Duke of Connaught's message of good cheer and observations on the marvels of radio telephony made a deep impression, as did a rpusing speech by Mr. Henry Gray at Montreal on the subject "United Empire." The programme went off without a hitch, marking a new era in Empire broadcasting.
