BILL CONDEMNED
RESERVE BANK MAY MEAN STATE OF CIVIL i WAR SELLING INDEPENDENCE Whangarei, Wednesday Condemning the Government's Reserve Bank Bill, Captain H. M. Rushworth. M.P., said at a meeting of the Auckland Provincial Farmers' Union Conferenee, that one- clause provided that monopolies should be given to this reserve bank for 25 years. "The Government of Neyr Zealand thus sets up a contract binding the people of New Zealand to this bank, and there is a risk that through this clause the measure might create a state in this country which will lead to civil war if an attempt is made to break the contract. "This in my mind is part of a conspiracy to transfer control in New Zealand, first to the Bank.of New Zealand, and then to the Bank of International Settlement, and once that is nqthing but a blpqdy revolution will get us'back our power , of self government.''
