spectators with good, fast football and was, at times, full.of excitement. The first half was a stern struggle in which many promising back movements were smothered hy the hard and sure tackling'of the opposing forwards. Blay see-sawed from one goal line to 'the oth'er, both sides working hard to p'ierce their opponents' defence. Penplty kicks for infringements were frequent, but "kicking boots" seemed to be absent and neither side were able to register any score before half time. On resuming after the interval, the tedms were playing hard, spectacular football and although many times each.rgoal line was threatened, the ; taOklipg was still hard and certain. Once again the kiek.missed and High School kicked off with a couple of minutes only to go and the score board reading 6-3 in Country's, favonr. Both teams , w!ere still putting plenty of dash into their play and it was, as yet, anybody's game. Just on time, High School were awarded a penalty kick near the halfway line and Fox attempted to pull the match out of the fire with a long range kick. His attempt was good, but unsueeessful and Country forced as time was ! called. j Country 6, High School 3. Mr. Parris was referee.
