Accident Narrowly Averted
The bad condition of a corner on the rnile hill between Te Puke and 'Rotorua very nearly involved two Rotorua residents in a seridiis- acci- ' dent on Saturday evening when the car in which they were returmng to /Rotorua dangerously skidded on the / bend. The driver was able to arrest ■ th o skid, but not before a back tire \had left the wheel rim. Having no '/spare the motorists were placed in an awkward predicament, but received ^generous assistance from a passing ' party. ;
