London, May 20. The Daily Mail, in a leader, says that notwithstanding nnsettlement in consequence of the European crisis the latest trade reports are distinctly hopeful. It is even declared that the worst of the slump has passed, provided peace is preserved, as it should be now that Germany has accepted the British plan. The Daily Mail recalls the drop in British unemployed figures, and says that Germany's unemployed is also down 712,000, while America shows p, widespread recovery, all indicating greater grounds for hope.
