LEAP FROM TRAIN BANDITS ATTACK OFFICIAL . AND ESCAPE WITH £3400 EXCHANGE OF SHOTS

Rec. May 21, 5.5 p.m*. Barcelona, May 20. Fonr bandits in a local train near here, attacked a railway official carrying £3400. As the. trdin was entering a tupnel, they secuxed the greater part of the money, then pulled the communication cord and l'eft th'e tfain at th& exit of the tunnel ahd l'e'aped into a w'aiting ihdtor car: The jiolice fired from .the train and the han'dits and thbir confederates, stationed near the tunnel mouth replied, injuring foiir passengers. The bandits all escaped.
