As the. trdin was entering a tupnel, they secuxed the greater part of the money, then pulled the communication cord and l'eft th'e tfain at th& exit of the tunnel ahd l'e'aped into a w'aiting ihdtor car: The jiolice fired from .the train and the han'dits and thbir confederates, stationed near the tunnel mouth replied, injuring foiir passengers. The bandits all escaped.
